TRACKING AND MODIFYING NEUROFEEDBACK

with Ellen Shaw-Smith

Webinar

Webinar Fee: $95

Webinar Outline

In her tenure as a DBT therapist, Ellen learned first hand the power of psychoeducation delivered with a hint of ‘JAZZ’. Jazz is reflective of an attuned presence, a bit of humor, and the ability to make information accessible and relevant. It also became clear that effective psychoeducation requires a relational, validating, and shame-reducing manner of delivery, rather than it being an exchange of purely cognitive information. Offering clinical neurofeedback requires us to share factual information about the arousal model and our human nervous system so our patients become informed allies with us in the journey of neurofeedback.

At its core, attuned neurofeedback psychoeducation offers a clearer understanding of the nature of being human with all its gifts and challenges. In
this 2.5 hours webinar, we will look at four areas of clinical neurofeedback whose outcomes are dependant on the effective delivery of attuned neurofeedback psychoeducation:

* When initially explaining how neurofeedback works and how it can be helpful.
* Within the neuro assessment form where we begin to teach the arousal model.
* In collaboratively tracking and modifying protocols as an aligned team.
* In integrating the full range of change your client has experienced.from NFB training.

We will look at both the content involved, and the approach from which attuned psychoeducation for neurofeedback is offered, through direct teaching, and through questions, discussion of ideas and case examples brought forward by participants.

Learning Objectives:

1.Familiarity with this model of Attuned Neurofeedback Psychoeducation.
