A Hands-On Training in Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback for Optimal Self-Regulation and Clinical Support of Clients
- Learn about the role of Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and coherence training on the Autonomic Nervous System
- Understanding polyvagal theory and the role of the ‘smart heart’
- Study case examples of HRV in work with clients
- Gain practical experience in assessment and treatment
- Presented by experts in the field of neurofeedback
Workshop Outline
Our comprehensive training program, which draws upon over a decade of clinical practice and the latest research on Heart Rate Variability (HRV), offers a hands-on learning experience that blends the science of heart intelligence with practical techniques for self-regulation.
Based on the groundbreaking polyvagal theory developed by Professor Stephen Porges, our workshop provides practitioners with a deeper understanding of how stress, trauma, and PTSD can impact emotional and physical health in complex and long-lasting ways. By leveraging HRV, participants can gain personal insight into how lifestyle choices can impact the autonomic nervous system, and use that knowledge to motivate positive change.
Our training is grounded in numerous peer-reviewed studies that demonstrate the sustained and statistically significant benefits of HRV techniques, including reduced stress, improved employee health, lowered healthcare costs, increased productivity, and greater resilience. For individuals interested in tracking their progress, HRV offers a unique way to monitor nervous system responses to the environment, emotions, thoughts, and feelings.
Our program covers a range of key topics, including the role of the ‘smart heart’ and HRV in coherence training, practical examples of HRV in client work, integrating HRV into your practice, and hands-on experience with assessment and treatment techniques. By the end of the program, participants will be well-equipped to apply HRV techniques in their own practice and help clients achieve improved emotional and physical health.
